Iraqi soldier kills 2 US troops in dispute

An Iraqi soldier opened fire on U.S. troops after a quarrel broke out Wednesday in northern Iraq, killing two American soldiers and wounding six in a military compound before he was shot to death, officials said.

Bank of England: Inflation to fall below 2 pct.

The Bank of England said Wednesday it expects inflation to fall to the government's target of 2 percent next year, but warned that inflation would then continue falling to below that level as the economy contracts further.

Paulson: Government won't buy troubled bank assets
