Inquiry into fighter jet death
An investigation has been launched into the death of a navigator who ejected from an RAF Tornado fighter plane.

Scotland to be independent by 2017: first minister
Scotland will be an independent country in the next 10 years, the country's nationalist first minister has said Wednesday, setting out for the first time his timetable for separation from the rest of Britain.
Scottish National Party leader Alex Salmond made the assertion as he set out his minority government's economic strategy for the next 10 years.
Salmond said Scotland aimed to match the economic growth rate of the rest of Britain by 2011, when the next elections for the 129-seat Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh will be held.
